Hi all ! Our VC team specialized on Smart City topics (Climate, Mobility, Logistics, Proptech, Energy, Industrial Tech) is looking for a passionate Research Analyst intern to join the team, starting in July 2024 at our Paris office.

The past few months have been pretty active on our side :

• **We just closed our Smart City II fund at €400m**
• We have partnered with more exceptional founders transforming the way we power, move, make, work and live in our cities: 1komma5° (solar panel installer in Germany), Electra (fast charging stations for EV - raised €200m), DANCE (ebike subscription, you may have seen some of them in Paris or Berlin), Vay (teledriving service in cities), UrbanChain (leading provider of Peer-to-Peer energy exchange services in the UK)
• Our topics are experiencing strong dynamics: Climate is the fastest growing trend in VC and we target sectors that are the most impactful to reduce CO2 emissions (energy, construction, mobility etc.).
• We have kept on supporting our amazing portfolio companies in their unstoppable hustle towards becoming industry leaders. We sold two companies recently: Breezometer to Google and Meteoswift to Trailstone.

What you will be doing

<aside>👉 Working alongside the investment team to develop investment thesis insights by conducting research-driven sector analysis, including the identification of core trends, assessment of market dynamics and evaluation of investment targets

Part I - Screening & Market Research

• Source & identify the most promising technologies and companies & present them to the team
• Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities
• Go to startup events to gather info on startups, sectors and new trends

Part II - Deep Dives to become a Space Champion

• Take ownership of in-depth research and analysis within two specific sectors, becoming the go-to expert in those areas
• Drive the development of comprehensive mappings and craft top-notch content to effectively communicate research findings
• Play a pivotal role in supporting the due diligence process by gathering critical information and insights and actively engaging in calls with companies

Part III - Support

• Help us manage our relationships with our LPs through events and special reports on trends they are interested in
• Help us organize events and build content to promote the fund in the European ecosystem
• Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of internal processes

Who we're looking for

• A genuine interest in technology & entrepreneurship. You don't need you to be a VC ecosystem's expert, but we would expect you to show a vivid interest for new technologies and tech companies in our verticals
• Tech-savvy with proven rigor & analytical skills. An engineering / scientific background would be a plus.
• At least 1 internship / work experience in a challenging field. We're open to all industries and positions - what we're looking for is someone who has had meaningful responsibilities
• Autonomous & organized. You will need to juggle different tasks with different investors, be able to prioritize your work and be proactive in leveraging the team
• Fluent in French / English - both written & communication skills. A third language is a nice-to-have
