Global Frontier Technology Ventures (GFT Ventures) is an early stage deep tech VC firm based in Palo Alto, CA focused on AI, Data Science, and other frontier technologies. It is co-founded and led by Jeff Herbst, formerly part of the executive leadership team at NVIDIA, and Jay Eum, previously the founding Managing Director of Samsung Ventures and co-founder of TransLink Capital. GFT Ventures invests in category-leading Seed and Series A startups, located in the US and Israel, developing disruptive technologies that solve the world's hardest technology problems for the largest markets. The firm recently completed a final closing on its oversubscribed inaugural fund of $140M, and is poised for significant growth in the coming years.
About the Role
We are looking for a Full-time Investment Senior Associate / Principal who will be an integral part of our deal team. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the investment process, from market research, thesis generation, sourcing, diligence, and deal execution to portfolio support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sourcing new opportunities by meeting founders, other investment professionals, management teams, attending conferences, hosting firm-sponsored events, etc.
- Evaluating potential investments through financial due diligence, market research, competitive analysis, etc.
- Supporting portfolio companies via regular check-ins, strategic and operational guidance, customer and investor introductions
- Collaborating with our team on internal projects and IR efforts
Qualifications
- Technical background with substantial training in AI, Data Science and/or other fields of deep tech (e.g. degree in engineering or relevant professional experience) required
- 3-5 years of experience in analytical roles (e.g. investing, consulting, banking) or in a high-growth startup environment; VC experience preferred but not required
- Good team player with hustle and can-do attitude
- Legally qualified to work in the U.S.
Location
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are open to remote positions on an exceptional case-by-case basis.
