Role Purpose
To support Thomson Reuters Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) investment activities and portfolio support delivering both strategic insights and financial return to Thomson Reuters
Location
3 Times Square, New York, NY -- must have legal ability to work in US, ability to work onsite three days a week
MBA preferred.
About the Role
- Support all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business/pricing model, financial modeling/deal structuring
- Reading and reviewing pitch decks and business plans to assess company activeness
- Support the team in company pitch meetings, be responsible for detailed notes and follow-up communications
- Work closely with portfolio founders on company-building activities such as competitive analysis and product intelligence
- Be responsible for external positioning and marketing of fund
- Maintain hygiene of our internal systems including deal sourcing pipeline and CRM
About You
- Passion for B2B Enterprise Technology and startups
- Finance and other relevant coursework preferred
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to take charge of identifying information sources, gathering, and interpreting data, executing analysis, and presenting findings
- Comfortable in the dynamic fast-paced environment and able to multitask
- Excited to learn and roll up your sleeves to work on a range of both strategic and tactical challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communicator, and listener with the ability to condense complex topics into clear digestible content
